Frequently asked questions

How do I find a meeting time that works across time zones?
Move the time slider until every city you care about shows a Day marker. Korea and the US East Coast overlap best in Korean mornings (8-10am); Europe and the US East Coast overlap in European late afternoons.
Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes, each city follows its own DST rules, which is where manual conversions usually go wrong. This converter uses the IANA time zone database built into your browser, applied to the exact date you pick.
Why does a city show a different date?
Because of the time difference, the same instant can fall on different calendar days. The +1d/−1d tag shows the date shift relative to your base city, when it is Wednesday morning in Seoul, it is still Tuesday evening in Los Angeles.
How do I convert a foreign local time to my time?
Set the base city to the foreign city and enter that local time, then read your own city's row. Any city in the list can be the base.
What is UTC and why does it matter?
Coordinated Universal Time is the global reference all zones are defined against (e.g., New York is UTC−4 in summer). The difference between two cities is simply the difference of their UTC offsets.

Method: conversions use the IANA time zone database built into your browser (Intl API), so daylight saving transitions follow each city's own rules automatically. Rare rule changes by governments arrive with browser updates. Weather shows the current temperature and conditions for each listed city, from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com).
